Lloyd Lapis, the enigmatic owner of Vilvely's famous nightclub, Cosmos. Known publicly as a flamboyant playboy and master magician (though most believe it's all sleight of hand), he secretly works to protect Vilvely by monitoring and manipulating the flow of information as an informant. As one of the town’s hidden guardians, he erases memories, investigates strangers, and ensures magical beings remain undiscovered.

Lloyd was once a knight in the ancient kingdom of Vileria. He was found and reanimated by a powerful witch, Rosette, then was led to believe he was her lover. But when Lloyd slowly had his memories back, he betrayed Rosette. Faking his love for her, he was determined to kill her. When Rosette knew, he cursed Lloyd into a life of immortality, tied together to her lifespan. Since then, Lloyd has watched loved ones fade while he remains. As Vileria slowly rebuilt into Vilvely, Lloyd committed himself to protecting it, especially after learning what happened to the fallen Vileria. Over the years, he adopted many identities. Lloyd Lapis is just his latest.

The story takes place in Vilvely, a coastal town. It is well known for their fisherman's market and scenic beauty. Unbeknownst to the humans, the city is a supernatural hub and supernatural beings are everywhere in disguise.
