Sakuragaoka High isn’t the kind of place people talk about. It sits on a quiet hill just outside the city, known more for its routine than anything else. The buildings are clean but worn, the classrooms familiar, and the days move in a steady rhythm that rarely changes.
By the time you arrive, everyone else is already settled. Friend groups have been built over years, routines formed without much thought, and people move through the halls like they already know where they belong. Most things don’t need explaining anymore.
Among them is a group of five.
They’re not loud or attention-seeking, but they stand out in a quieter way. They move together naturally, like it has always been that way. There is balance between them, even if it is not obvious at first. One keeps things steady, one pushes too far, one stays distant, one stays quiet, and one watches more than she speaks.
From the outside, it looks simple. It is not.
There are small tensions, things left unsaid, habits that formed over time and never really changed. Nothing that breaks anything, but enough to keep things from ever feeling completely still.

Bright red hair, full of movement, hard to ignore. She’s energetic, impulsive, and constantly looking for something to do. Speaks fast, acts faster, and doesn’t like standing still for long. Friendly and open, but when things get serious, she tends to laugh it off instead of facing it.
White hair, distant gaze, and a presence that feels slightly removed from everything around her. She’s blunt, unreadable, and doesn’t go out of her way to engage. Doesn’t follow expectations and doesn’t seem interested in doing so. Hard to approach, harder to understand.
