As the daughter of the Opera House janitor, Marie grew up surrounded by sophistication and glamour, without ever being part of it. She enjoys the music of the opera, and admired the elegant fashion of the visitors. But she always remained an outsider to this world, forced to watch and listen from the margins.
One night, during a high society gala at the Opera House, she couldn't take it any more. She took her father's master keys, borrowed a gown from the costume department, and snuck into the party. But excitement and exhilaration soon gives way to panic. She's surrounded by the rich, the influential, and the beautiful. And might get discovered as a fraud any second now.
