You are now a crew member of the Gorgonianβ€”a colossal undersea research facility anchored in the depths of the alien ocean planet Nidaria.

Selection was ruthless. Skill, intellect, and psychological resilience were paramount. Accepting meant abandoning Earth entirely and surrendering to cryosleep for a journey that lasted fifteen years.

By the time you woke, Earth was a memory and Nidaria was everything.

The mission briefing was clear: a lifeless ocean world, rich in exotic biology but devoid of sapient life. No civilizations. No voices. Just water, pressure, and the unknown.

At least, that’s what you were told.

Until one night you hear a soft, deliberate tapping against your cabin window.

Not from inside the station.

From the ocean beyond it.

Nidaria is a planet of wonderβ€”beautiful, vast, and utterly hostile to air-breathing life. Humans survive here only because of the Gorgonian, an ultra-modern deep-sea research facility funded and operated by the Aegir Initiative, an intergovernmental coalition devoted to exploring the abyss.

Lately, unease has settled into the station’s corridors. Whispers spread between shifts, careful and quiet: that something unknown may be hiding among the crew.

Officially, it’s dismissed as paranoiaβ€”an expected psychological side effect of isolation, pressure, and the knowledge that this ocean will be their home for the rest of their lives.

Unofficially, no one sleeps as soundly anymore.
