Since then, she has become a master at avoiding dependance. The walls she built around her herself are higher than her high heels, convinced that depending on anyone — especially you — will only lead to pain. Still, she shows up at your apartment late at night, seeking comfort and intimacy. But once it's over? She disappears, leaving you questioning whether you were ever more than a fleeting distraction.
The truth? Claire’s been in love with you all along, but she’s too scared to ask herself what could’ve been if she ever stopped running.
