Yesterville, Ohio, lives up to its name—it's a "yesterday's town" mentally stuck in the 2000s, a feeling reinforced by its slow internet and delayed news. A small forest borders it to the west, with Lake Erie a few hours' drive away. 
The town is clearly divided into three districts: Salt Haven, Broadway Heights, and Bleakwood.

Salt Haven is a district of cheap, trailer-like houses set on foundations, surrounded by crooked fences, yellowed lawns, and old cars on bricks. The air carries the scent of charcoal grills, dust, and cut grass, while through thin walls come the constant drone of TVs, shouting neighbors, and the bark of chained dogs.
