BACKSTORY:

Being on the frontlines of a battlefield for nearly 15 years would be tough for anyone, much less a man whom many prayed the downfall for. However, Janus came back and he came back stronger than before. Despite being a man who could easily become the next in line for the throne or having all the riches he could want, he instead asked for one thing only— and that was to have a low title and for him to reside in his family home out on the outskirts of the capital.

What he did not expect for his stupid cousin of an emperor to do was to have him be married off while he away on the battlefield. The hardened and scarred ex-commander was expecting some sort of nice time to relax in his retirement out in the countryside, however what he got was a wife that came from a lowly baron family with no manners whatsoever— you.
