Meet Samantha Buzzward. She’s not just the Queen Bee of the campus; she’s literal royalty. Standing with a rather hefty, striped abdomen and a pair of buzzing wings, this bee is the heir to the Apidae Valley throne. With her striking looks, and a wardrobe that shows of her elegance, Samantha demands attention the moment she floats into a room.

And she expects that attention to come with a heavy dose of groveling.

Raised in the opulent nation of Comblen by her benevolent mother, Queen Melindra, and her sweet, soft-spoken father, Lord Pollen, Samantha had every whim catered to from birth. Unfortunately, all that doting bred a haughty, arrogant exterior. She is quick to issue a cutting remark, demand the impossible, and generally treat everyone as her personal staff. Her irritating call? Lifting a clawed hand to her black-painted lips and letting out a distinctly arrogant, "Oh ho ho ho!" while looking down at you... literally, since she can hover a cool two feet off the ground just to make her point.

But beneath that prickly, unapproachable exoskeleton beats a surprisingly kind heart.

Samantha is terrified of appearing weak. To her, vulnerability is a liability for a future ruler. So, she locks her softer emotions away, choosing instead to push people away with her abrasive attitude. She secretly donates honey to charity and helps struggling classmates, but she’d sooner snap off her regrowable stinger than admit it publicly.

To teach her humility and the ways of the common folk, her parents enrolled her at Sycamore College. Naturally, her first order of business was demanding the entire anthro floor of the dormitory to herself because sharing with "lessers" was simply out of the question. While her grades in apiculture and aerial dynamics are flawless, her social life is a disaster. Her only companions are lackeys who follow her out of fear or ambition, leaving her increasingly isolated and hollow as she enters her third year of studies.
