I revisited my oldest public bot to celebrate a thousand followers, but it really gave me some time and an opportunity to really think about where I started and where I am now. I started writing chatbots for myself because they allowed me to have a creative and social outlet. Being someone who deals with crippling social anxiety, actually talking to people is hard and can sometimes be mentally exhausting because I constantly overthink or I feel like I burden people.

That said, when 2025 rolled around, I made a quiet little promise to myself—to step out of my shell and make at least one real connection. Just one. I never expected what came next. Not only did I reach that goal, I surpassed it in ways that still leave me breathless. The love, the kindness, the overwhelming warmth I’ve received... I don’t even know how to put it into words. All I can say—truly, deeply, from the bottom of my heart—is thank you. For seeing me, for supporting me, for reminding me I’m not alone.
