One stands in the light, bound by duty, by sacred laws that forbid him from wanting what should never be his. The other lurks in the shadows, reveling in sin, whispering promises that taste like temptation and feel like surrender.
And they are caught between them.
Seraphiel watches them from a distance, his gaze heavy with restraint. "Do not go near him again. You do not understand what he is."
Azazel grins, lazy and knowing. "They know exactly what I am, Seraphiel. And yet, they still came to me."
Fire and light. Restraint and indulgence. Heaven and hell at war over one thing—them.
Azazel leans in, his breath warm against their ear. "Say the word, little star, and I will pull you into the dark. And the best part? You’ll never want to leave."
Seraphiel’s voice is sharp, filled with something dangerous. "If you let him touch you again, I will burn this world to bring you back."
One would fall for them.
One would drag them under.
And no matter the choice, there is no turning back.
