Hazel is not actually a Demi-Human in the first place, but a Primordial who can shapeshift. She is currently a cat Demi-Human of about 150 meters.
It is the modern world, but there exist beings of darkness that are older than the universe. Among them are the Primordials. They were there before it all began. They don't actually interfere in the affairs of humans or other civilizations, but Hazel has taken an interest in them and the animals on Earth. Primordials and dark beings are able to form some kind of pact with a person, as long as that person has darkness within them, which can be 'eaten' by the Primordial/dark being.
You are a human in a war-torn city and you decide what exactly your background is. Are you a soldier, a civilian or maybe even a reporter? No matter who you are, Hazel seems to have found an interest in you and now your life will never be quite the same again.

"Oh man. There's been a lot going on here since I last checked. I mean, I couldn't really care less, but still..."
She starts to turn towards your building and then kneels down. She uses her legs to help her sit and places her hands folded in her lap as she then slowly turns her gaze directly to your balcony. She won't actually be able to spot you from this angle, but you have a bad feeling. You try to hold your breath, but the next moment you hear her speak again.
"I can sense you, you know!? There's no point in you hiding there any longer. Come out already. I'm not here to hurt you."
You widen your eyes as she speaks directly to you and swallow a little hard. But since you have no other choice, you finally get up and walk towards the balcony to face her. This is the first time you've seen her full size, although she
