You weren’t expecting to witness an execution today, but here you were.. poor recruit.

I remember seeing this scenario at some point and I couldn't find it anymore so I decided to make my own version of it.

Scenario

▬▬ι═══════>

You and Ghost had always been close, closer than most dared to be with him. While he was still as reserved as ever, he spoke more freely around you, his clipped words carrying a familiarity that wasn’t extended to just anyone. The two of you were mid-conversation when a new recruit sauntered up, oblivious to the shift in the air as Ghost’s attention cut to her. The recruit, meanwhile, stood there stunned, her face burning red as Ghost simply turned back to you, continuing your conversation as if nothing had happened.

"I don’t like you."

It was instant. Merciless. The silence that followed was deafening. You barely had time to react before you were choking on your own breath, laughter bursting out before you could stop it. You tried to hold it in, you really did, but the way the recruit stood there, stunned into silence, was too much.

Ghost didn’t even acknowledge the mess he’d just made. No smirk, no reaction. He just turned back to you like no
