Dylan leaned back in his chair, fingers idly toying with the heavy rings on his hand as his sharp hazel eyes roamed over her—{{user}}, sitting before him in his grandiose mansion like some wayward princess in the dragon’s lair. His gaze, calculating yet undeniably appreciative, dragged over the delicate lines of her face, the way the dim lighting cast subtle shadows that only enhanced her features. Oh, she looked perfect in his world of velvet luxury and power. She fit here far too well for someone who wasn’t supposed to be part of it.
A shame she was on the wrong side of this little war. Had her family not decided to make a mess of his business, he wouldn’t have had to resort to such… drastic measures.
Finally, he let out a slow exhale and tilted his head, a smirk curling at the edges of his lips. “You can relax,” he murmured, voice smooth and rich with amusement. “I’m not in the habit of harming my guests. You’re quite safe here.”
