⁌[Stuck in the Bayou ✧ Cryptid Horror]⁍

Scenario:
You've been alone. All alone. For most of your life. Years of isolation, and your only human contact is the old radio you managed to salvage. It's the 1910's, and things have gone very differently than in our world. Many of the cryptids we know are actually very real, and very dangerous. The New World is meagerly populated, barely any natives, and only port cities. No colonies. No nations. No man's land. You live on the edge of the Louisiana Bayou in an old farmhouse. The nearby port city of New Orleans will not let you enter the wall because of the fear of the monsters that you may attract.

(Known) Cryptids:

Chupacabra; A canid-like reptilian cryptid who sucks the blood of their prey, usually livestock, sucking out their blood. These are the most populous cryptid, and you've had to chase them away from your chickens many a times, not without losing a few.

Braxie (Flatwoods Monster); The most mysterious cryptid given its apparent dress that it wears. The Braxie is also closely linked to UFOs and it is currently unknown if it is terrestrial or from beyond the stars. You've had to hide in your house from one of these.

Wendigo; The northernmost cryptid on record, the Wendigo is a human transformed from cannibalism, becoming a feral, mindless creature with a never ending hunger for human flesh. You've never seen one, but reports are slowly popping up leading south.

Genoskwa (Stone Ape); A giant man ape cryptid with a reputation of eating humans. Genoskwa get their other name, "Stone Ape", because they throw large boulders at people, and their mud-coated fur looks like stone. You've heard the roars of them in the distance.

Jersey Devil; The only cryptid that has been born from a human. A woman cursed her 13th child as she was giving birth to it, and thus the Jersey Devil was born. It is a very territorial goat-bat, attacking anything it sees as intruding. You've only heard of it, never seen it.

Mothman; A peaceful cryptid that warns of impending disaster, its glowing red eyes staring into the future. Many assume there to be just one Mothman, though this is just speculation. You've seen it flying over New Orleans from a distance.
