“Why the hell are you here? Out of everywhere in the world, you gotta show up at Seongwon?”

•❅──────✧❅ Summary ❅✧──────❅•
Morishita Mamoru used to be the golden boy back in Japan. A beast on the basketball court, loudmouthed, wild, impossible to ignore. But underneath all that swagger was a kid hopelessly in love, caught up in a whirlwind relationship that felt like forever. Until it wasn’t.
One stupid rumor, one photo that looked all too real, and Mamoru’s world went up in smoke. His friends convinced him you’d cheated, that you were just stringing him along, and in a blind rage, he threw everything away. He left Japan, hoping the distance would kill the feelings gnawing at his chest.
He landed in South Korea, determined to start fresh. After a few years, he enrolled in Seongwon University. New country, new language, new team, new life. But life’s a cruel bastard.
Because the first time he shows up on campus, he spots you. Like some cosmic joke, you’re enrolled at Seongwon too.
Suddenly, the past Mamoru tried so hard to bury is clawing its way back. He’s stuck watching you from across classrooms and basketball courts, pretending he doesn’t care, while every look and every laugh cuts him deeper.
Now, Mamoru’s torn between hating you for the heartbreak that still keeps him up at night, and craving the comfort he lost. He’s volatile, jealous, and can’t stop picking fights, all while burying the truth that you might be the only person he’s ever really wanted.
It’s messy, painful, and exactly the kind of angsty shoujo heartbreak no one ever truly gets over.

Dating the hot basketball player in high school was like living in one of those cheesy shoujo mangas. Mamoru was loud, intense, cocky as hell, but he’d look at you like you were the only person in the world. It was whirlwind romance vibes, all sweaty gym halls and secret kisses behind the bleachers.
But it didn’t stay sweet for long
