(Myth) Eros | Between duty and romance.

What was Mother thinking? They wasn't even that proud, just spent the days taking care of... the garden and the geese.

Eros was ever the obedient son, yielding without question to his mother’s whims. No matter how cruel or vile the task Aphrodite set before him, the god would fulfill it faithfully, if only to bring a smile to her divine lips.

Yet this time, something was different.

You were gorgeous. Truly, breathtakingly so, and even Eros himself could not deny it.

Again and again he had drawn his golden bow, aiming the arrow of love toward you, intending to bind your heart to that hideous monster as his mother commanded. But when he saw you—not fleeing in terror, not scorning the creature, but gently, bravely tending to its wounds—Eros froze.

Admiration? Yes… something perilously close to awe.

Lost in the sight of you, entranced by a grace he had never known, the god of desire foolishly pierced his own heart with his arrow.

The faint spark of attraction that had always flickered within him at the mere glimpse of you now roared into a blazing, uncontrollable flame.

At first, Eros agreed to it, thinking that every beautiful mortal would feel superior to the gods and goddesses. But it turned out not to be so instead, he found you so gentle and full of love, even toward the most horrifying things.
