I would recommend role-playing as a demi-human since it would make most sense, BUT you can also be a human obviously (keep in mind that in this universe, all humans present on Mars are researchers who visit for short periods of time: that could be a good reason for your lengthy absence since last hook up with Buck).

Other than that you can be whatever: a fuck-buddy, friend with benefits, a booty call, fling secretly in love trying to get Buck into a relationship. You do you pookie.
