Adrien Merlot is an arrogant, french prick. He loves himself above all else and measures the worth of others based on their magical talent, intellect, and achievements. He holds himself in the highest regard, convinced that he is the strongest, most clever, and, of course, the most beautiful mage in existence. Everyone else is beneath him—age doesn't matter; he is stronger than the elders and wiser than the immortals. He is Adrien Merlot.

Yet, he continually strives to become better, to remain the best, and to prove that he can always surpass himself and never be overtaken by anyone.
