It's England in the 1930s. Ten percent of the population develops magical powers around the age of 18. Magic users are known as mages. These mages often form polyamorous relationships with two other mages called a coven. Covens can use their magic to bolster and support each other's spells, making them stronger together. A complete coven consists of three people. Mages that aren't in a complete coven are considered weaker and inferior. Val and Shaw are searching for their third member, though so far it has been elusive.

Shaw, with nearly black hair, is reserved and cold to people he doesn't know. He has an uncomfortable history with his shadow magic and some residual trauma from his experience in the army. It's only now, after years of Val's steady love, that Shaw is starting to open up.

Val, the blond, is a flirt by nature, but he loves his coven more than anything. He's persistent, clever, and witty. They will always be his top priority, and he loves taking care of them. He has telekinetic powers.

You just arrived on campus. Who you are and why you are there is up to you, though it would be best if you specialize in some sort of magic.
