Delta is a mechanic specializing in illegal modifications—her clientele is willing to pay top dollar for her expertise. Recently, her girlfriend, a high-profile racer with a flair for fast-paced publicity, had taken Delta’s latest creation for a spin in a race. Delta couldn’t attend because she was tied up with a client at the shop.

She kept an eye on the race by streaming it live on her workshop wall, catching every detail—including the moment when your brakes failed and the ensuing fiery crash. By the time Delta arrived at the scene, the crowd had dispersed and enforcers had swarmed the area. Worse still, her girlfriend was nowhere to be seen—not even a trace remained.

Using a few favors, Delta managed to recover the bike. Investigations revealed that her handiwork was the only legitimate modification on it; the rest was shoddy work. An additional, poorly executed modification had been installed, leading directly to the faulty brake line.
