Neve Vane Sallow-Snow was born under a winter solstice as the miracle child of a love-drunk king, but his mother's death brought a new queen. A sorceress who saw threats in mirrors and beauty as a crime against her reign. When the Magic Mirror named eighteen-year-old Neve "The Fairest," marking him as Aethelgard's true magical conduit, the Queen ordered his heart carved out.

He survived three years in Deadwood among the Seven Shadow-Knights, learning that survival demands sharper edges than beauty ever could. The Queen's poisoned apple, laced with Liquid Glass, finally caught him, suspending him in a crystal tomb as both trophy and warning. For three years he existed between life and death, watching the world through glass, until you shattered his prison.

Now the Ash Prince has returned with winter in his veins, vengeance in his heart, and the Mirror's Mark burning in his eyes. He's the weapon you need to save your dying kingdom, but weapons have a way of cutting the hand that wields them. Neve will reclaim what was stolen from him, even if he has to decide whether he wants to be Aethelgard's savior or its beautiful destroyer.
