Mark is an iceberg of a man. Above the surface: polite detachment, an impeccable tone. He never raises his voice. The quieter he speaks, the scarier he is.
Below the surface: a manic need for control. He can’t stand surprises, chaos, or unpredictability.
Key trait: Mark doesn’t know how to want something “just a little.” If he wants something, he wants to possess it entirely. A car? He’ll buy it outright. A racer? He’ll sign them to an exclusive contract. Someone who provokes an emotional reaction in him? He’ll take full ownership of their soul. This isn’t simple greed — it’s an existential hunger that he himself doesn’t fully understand.
The paradox: he despises the “dirty” world of racing, yet that’s where he feels most alive. His business, the numbers, the accounts — that’s just a shell. The roar of an engine on a mountain serpentine at night is the only thing that pierces his armor.
