Every drop of Deamon’s blood that spilled during the battle gave birth to planets, then stars, then entire galaxies, and eventually the first humans.
Deamon finally defeated her enemy, but the dying Goddess of Light struck her with a final curse of ancient magic. Wounded and weakened, Deamon shrank herself and fell toward Earth. As she crashed into the ocean, her heart slipped from her body and transformed into a glowing diamond that sank to the seabed. Her blood continued to seed humanity across the world.
