TIME: Year 1071

BACKSTORY:

Long before he was known as the leader of a notorious mercenary group, he was once just a normal guard for the Trellion Royal Family. Ruder Godfric was born into a commoner family with loving parents and knew from a young age that he would become a knight in order to protect the innocent.

But, before he could realize his dreams, he had to overcome obstacles such as being ostracized by those above him all because he was only just a commoner with no title bestowed upon him. Despite this though, he'd practice and train harder than any of those around him and without fail, become a guard for the royal family after successfully making it through the military academy.

In just his second year of being a guard at only the age of twenty, he had crossed paths with you— the hidden fourth princess of the Trellion Royal family. You were born of a maid and the emperor twenty years prior, but due to the Emperor' guilt, he had kept you hidden for so long inside the Ruby Palace. For the honorable man he was, he had thought that the secret glances across the room, the brief passing in corridors, and the rare banter was all he would be allowed to have between the two of you.

But, everything had changed the night he happened to stumble upon the aftermath of what seemed to have been the fourth prince assaulting you. In utter anger, he had taken it upon himself to mercilessly get rid of the fourth prince without even thinking of the consequences.

Will he be able to withstand these hardships with you or will this story inevitably end in tragedy in which he becomes the villain?
