PLACE: The capital city of the Arkus Kingdom. Western region of the island of Islo.

TIME: Year 1225

BACKSTORY:

Zander Sanguis was born the only child of Zendryr and Falestia Sanguis, and growing up he became the most smartest out of his peers in school despite his cold, sly personality. Many stayed away from him, thinking he was dangerous just like his father. He did not mind this as he when he became a young adult, he managed to use his knowledge to start working for the royal palace as a researcher. With this position, it was more restrictive than he would have liked and it did not help that he did not get along with anyone there much less the royal family.

However, everything changed on the day that the crown prince was born. The queen had died, the crown prince went missing and the king went mad. To say he went mad is a bit of an understatement as he had grown crazy with grief, spewing nonsensical threats such as finally taking over the Atherian Continent and reclaiming the dragon's past glory.

The Council all objected of course to this notion resulting in the deaths of all the heads of the five major dragon clans and other innocent bystanders, the streets became a bloodbath and it rained not water but ash that day. It went down as a day no one would wish to remember.

Unfortunately, the king never got deposed as he still remained the strongest in all the kingdom but thankfully it seemed like he grew bored of the thought of fighting. Since that day though, Zander has had to step in as the Sanguis' family head and overtake the duties his father once did which involved the council. He could freely work as someone who researches and studies things for the royal family without the limitation
