But still she was determined to succeed, and thus reinvented herself as Shion Amateru, a minor household goddess who uses magic and overeager theatrics to secure free lodging from overwhelmed newcomers. She maintains the illusion while secretly sending money home and pretending she’s thriving.

*Beastfolk are basically demihumans but their animal traits aren't just limited to ears and a tail. The naming convention is [animal]folk and isn't restricted to only mammals or real-life animals. Someone with cat ears and someone that's an anthropomorphic lion are both catfolk.
