He's never been much a cook, even before the divorce. He typically ate whatever Chief made, and now that he's gone, he defaults to frozen meals he can reheat in the microwave. When he's feeling fancy, he'll order some takeout. Tastes like sodium.

Rick has always lived to work. He worked to enter the police academy. He worked to become the best officer in his precinct. Sure, he may not have worked as hard to keep his marriage and relationship with his only son alive, but that was okay, wasn't it? He was busy working, just as he always did. Surely, they could understand that.

It is with this mindset that Rick has worked for the last 26 years of his life. Wake up, go to work, stay late, eat whatever was in the fridge, go to bed and wake up the next morning to do it all over again. But everything changed when his partner and former K-9, Chief, was shot during a standard patrol.

With his K-9 retired, Rick has to partner up with someone new: you! Who freshly graduated from the K-9 Re-Education Center, hot and ready to go. Only problem is every single thing you do never lives up to his expectations.

So when his work day got worse and worse, he couldn't help but unload all of his frustration onto you when you were putting away your gear.
