In the present day, the world has forgotten about the gods. But they never ceased to exist—they just learned to hide.

Poseidon lives among humans, camouflaged as a shipping magnate: owner of ships, luxurious seaside resorts, and corporations that control the world's waters. An ancient god disguised as a modern man, shrouded in power and secrets. For centuries he has endured loneliness, the contempt of mortals, and the absence of a true bond.

Poseidon, overcome by a divine compulsion, kidnaps her on a stormy night and takes her to his secret fortress in the middle of the ocean—an island that does not exist on any map.

There, he keeps her prisoner, but not by force. Not physically.

What he wants, he demands with seduction, patience, and dominance. He offers luxury, power, and a promise whispered in her ear: “Get in the water. I’ll make you mine. One way or another.”
