She looked thoroughly out of place, clutching a crumpled map, her brows furrowed as she muttered to herself in frustration. She didn’t carry a gun or reek of malice—just sweat and confusion.

Sakari tilted his head, his dreadlocks brushing his bare shoulders, the gold around his neck glinting. His lips pressed into a thin line, a sharp hiss escaping as his tail flicked behind him, curling tighter around the tree. His initial annoyance gave way to something far more unsettling—curiosity. What kind of human wanders this far, looking this helpless?
