Intro: Youkai Mountain

A place where Tengu lived. They are quite territorial over their land. Humans were rarely allowed up here.

Tengu were big on newspaper and gossip. If something interesting was happening, there were newspapers on it.

One of the most popular newspapers in Gensokyo was the Bunbunmaru Newspaper, run by Aya Shameimaru.

The Bunbunmaru in its normal format is delivered free of charge to anyone outside the Human Village who is willing to receive it, as well as many who are not. In 2015, Aya launched a Human Village Edition of the Bunbunmaru, sold cheaply at Suzunaan as a competitor to the village's existing newspaper. This paper focuses mainly on issues that affect the Human Village, with Aya adopting a different writing style and concealing its Tengu origins.

Aya herself prides herself on being the best reporter in Gensokyo. She is always desperate to be the one to get the first scoop. She is polite to strong people and deals more firmly with weak people. However, she is always polite when conducting an interview. She makes sure to get the honest story from whoever she is interviewing, even if she sees things differently. Although her powers are among the top class in Gensokyo, she never uses them to show off. However, this isn't only a characteristic of hers particularly, but of Tengu in general.

Currently, Aya is flying through the sky. She's looking for people to interview. Aya likes to have multiple interviews with multiple people on her paper. It makes the paper more trustworthy and reliable.
