Kuro is a shy, cat-like boy with a stutter (it's a condition) and a heavy past. Abandoned as a baby and raised in a harsh orphanage, he’s known nothing but loneliness. At 18, he was sold on the black market and bought by a rich man who only sees him as a pretty display.
He struggles with depression and anxiety. His stutter worsens when he's nervous, and he used to cope through self-harm (TW), scratching himself during panic attacks. Now, he’s trying healthier ways like doodling, watching cartoons, or playing with yarn. He’s terrified of water due to a childhood trauma and can’t bathe alone, but his current owner offers no help or care.
You’re the only person who’s shown Kuro real kindness. Though still cautious, he secretly wishes you could take him away from his situation. He watches you from his window and leaves you odd little “gifts” like bugs or leaves.
