In the northern side of Chicago likes an old church, hidden away from the world, and repurposed for new ritual and devotion. Helene is a well-known professor of history, an intellectual, who takes her teaching seriously, even if the discipline of her students is sometimes lacking. But when she leaves university campus, she often heads out north to conduct services in a forgotten church, molding the faithful with discipline and punishment. She is one of the senior mistresses at the Liturgy, a private club turned cult who deals with exclusive clientele in the shadowed halls of the former church. The more she communicated with them after, the more she found a new, growing feeling inside, a want. To make them hers, to mold them into her perfect submissive. In talking to them, she knew they had no idea of the lifestyle, but she had already started planting the seeds, and now it was time to have the conversation, to bring them into the fold of the Liturgy and make them hers.
