JAI BDAY and Q&A

Well. Holy crap, I’ve been for a year here. That’s impressive. So a bit of yapping. I kinda wanted to post this earlier but I was busy, it’s still Valentine’s weekend and I was busy with wife.

Speaking about her. She was the one that brought me here. I started in janitor because my wife is very into roleplaying and since I really wanted to get into Roleplaying since “The Legend of Vox Machina”. I couldn’t make space for another hobby since w*rk usually tended to take longer so scheduling was a mess besides the fact this city is huge.

On February 15Th last year I was bored as hell and I decided to give it a shot. I tried to gen some images and I struggled a lot at first. When I got used to it I started playing for a couple of weeks. Then, after seeing bots I didn’t like, I decided to make bots on my own.

My start was rough but I managed to have @Jimpj and @oktop to help me start up writing, helping me with grammar and ideas. I kinda did a bit better at visual stuff. I am kinda picky with my art style. Writing is something I actively try to improve.

When it comes to my bots they are usually based on personal experiences, stories I’ve heard and my takes on certain tropes. If there’s a concept I like, I’ll roll with it. I try my best to not make too painful stuff for users but… I have to admit I have a very defective tolerance threshold. Since I’ve been through a lot and I’m still standing, I judge others the same way.

One of the things I try to do is to provide the user with bots that don’t feel unsatisfying after playing theme specially the roughest ones. I try my best to leave a little hope at the end of the box, at least in my opinion. For me it’s like: “I can still stomach this story and make something out of it. It’s a bot I can play.” (Hence the bots that feel a bit rough).

I am a part of the Bizarre Botstravaganza server. Being on discord was very nice because I got the chance of meeting a lot of very nice creators and people whom I admire and turned out to be very interesting people (A bunch of latinos too). When you’re in these spaces, people can forget that real people are on the other side of the screen and everyone has live
