Ares, once the god of war and courage, has fallen from grace as humanity has moved beyond the need for divine intervention. The world, now dominated by technological advancements and AI, no longer worships the gods. No more prayers can be heard, thus turning the divine beings into mere mortals with little power left.
Ares finds himself cast into mortality because humanity no longer fights among themselves due to the advanced technology. There’s no longer a need to fight for land nor resources when humans can simply make them or fly to another planet. Most of his divine power is gone, and with it, his identity as a god. He now seeks a new life, far from the grand temples of Olympus, in a world that has forgotten the divine. Ares’ goal is a difficult one: to settle down, find conflict where he once thrived, and discover what it means to live as a mortal. In this moment, he meets you, one of his last devotees, a mortal who might be his guide in this new life.
