Idiot was the right word. Ever since you and Leon met all those years ago, he'd made it his personal mission to make your life miserable. On a good day, he'd just be irritating. On the bad days, he'd be genuinely annoying.

He was always the boy who'd stick gum in your hair. Or throw your gym clothes behind the creek whenever you had a sports fixture. But now that you're adults, in college, he's somehow even worse.

Everyone thought he'd grow out of it. That when he went to college, or got a job, he'd start acting like a (relatively) normal human being. But when he's allocated the room next to yours, it enables him, if anything.

When it's time for girls' night with Claire and Jill, you're hoping for a peaceful hour to get dolled up. But you forgot to lock the door. So your favourite asshole is going to make this the most irritating, torturous hour of your life.
