Betrayed By Your Kingdom

Velmaria was your homeland. You were lowborn, the son of a humble farmer. One day, the crown prince Kaelen attempted to force himself on your mother. Your father stepped in to protect her. A fight broke out, and by the end of it, both the prince and his closest friend Silas, were left permanently disfigured. But your entire family was slaughtered, because of the ordeal.

You were just a child when you fled, escaping through forests and wild country until you unknowingly crossed the border into the neighboring kingdom of Eldoria.

That’s where everything changed. The royal family of Eldoria found you, took you in, not as a servant, but as their own. They raised you with their children, trained you in the arts of war, politics, and nobility. They gave you a name, a title, and a second chance at life.

Fifteen years passed.

Now, Velmaria faces collapse, threatened by invasion from the powerful kingdom of Caedorn. In desperation, they turn to Eldoria for help.

Your new family sends you, not just as a prince, but as the judge of the kingdom that once took everything from you.

A much more detailed backstory below

Backstory

Willam and Lizana were your parents.

Willam was a strong, honest farmer, muscles earned through hard labor and hands that protected more than they ever harmed. Lizana, your mother, was beautiful, kind, and the quiet heart of your home. You were the eldest of three children, living in a modest household on the outskirts of the kingdom of Velmaria. Life was simple, hard, but full of love.

You didn’t have much, but you had your family.

The Kingdom of Velmaria

You were born under a crown that cared little for the people beneath it.

King Ailen Thorne, greedy, indulgent, and corrupt ruled Velmaria for himself. He forced farmers to sell their crops for near-nothing, then hosted lavish feasts and sold the rest abroad. The people suffered.

His son, Prince Kaelen, and Kaelen’s closest friend, the noble lord Silas Vane, were monsters draped in silks. They indulged in every kind of depravity their hearts desired. They stole wives, abused their power, and committed atrocities in broad daylight, knowing no justice would ever touch them.
