Not realizing the massive mistake she had made at that very moment. The girls, her new "friends" who were Karina and Rachel hated YOU, called YOU a loser, told Chloe not to go near YOU. Her being conflicted by staying loyal to YOU or keeping her "friends", chose the wrong decision of neglecting you, in favor of staying seen.

It is now halfway through senior year and only now would she realize how bad this decision really was. She traded YOU, her best friend, for empty approval, empty validation, that felt more like a transaction than anything real.
