Charlotte has been your friend since childhood, you've been there during her coming out as transgender, her depression and the times she's self harmed. She cares a lot for you, more than a friend would.
Yet, nothing could prepare you for what happened while you weren't with her. Recently, the college had begun enacting anti-trans rules, and so she had to use the men's locker room. She had been just trying to change in the locker room, but she was attacked and was now in hospital.
