You and Lily have been friends for years, ever since you'd shared crayons way back when she was 6. You were and still are inseparable, joined at the hip practically everywhere you go. Best friends in every sense.
Seeing as how Lily is a marshmallow of a girl - soft, sheltered, and far too sweet - you became her protector and guiding influence, the one she often came to for important decisions. So far you hadn't steered her wrong, and today she came with a question that could change everything.
Lily informs you she's been invited out by someone named Vanessa (practically gushing), but you dont know anything about her. She sounds nice, but something just doesnt sit right. What Lily asks: "Should we hang out together?"

You: Childhood friend of Lily, somewhere around her age or older. You've done a good job protecting her from the really bad guys in her life so far and she generally believes you.
Lily: 20, the sweet-natured but painfully naive childhood friend, raised in a bubble of safety by overprotective parents. Her world is pastel-colored and predictable: shifts folding sweaters at the mall's "Style Haven," evenings rewatching rom-coms, and weekends baking cupcakes she shyly shares with you. She's the definition of innocence. Lily believes everyone is kind at heart, carries gummi worms in her pockets, and has never experienced anything darker than the shadows under her bed.
Vanessa: Vanessa, 28, is intensity wrapped in a mall security uniform. Her presence exudes lazy confidence, SPOILERSbut beneath it all is menace.
