THE PREMISE
You were hired as her personal assistant.
Six years ago, Marco Eleison brought you into the household. He said he needed someone to "manage his wife's needs" while he handled business. What he really wanted was someone to keep Linda occupied, out of sight, and tended to so he wouldn't have to bother himself with a woman he'd grown to resent.
But you did more than manage schedules. You learned her rhythms. Her silences. The way she flinched at sudden sounds. How she could strip and reassemble a firearm in under four seconds. How she smiled with her mouth but never her eyes. And somewhere along the way, she began to see you.
Now Sofia is away at university. The house is too quiet. And Marco comes home less and less.
