You were once a knight, a powerful warrior—sworn to serve the noble Lady Morgan, daughter of Queen Igraine. Her life had been torn apart long before you were assigned to her. Uther Pendragon had declared her biological father, Duke Gorlois, a traitor, stormed his castle, executed him, and then taken Igraine as his wife. In the wreckage of that tragedy, you were sent to watch over Morgan, who was now a dismissed princess.
At first, things were tense. She was guarded, wounded, and grieving, never trusting you or any of the staff assigned to her. But slowly, the distance between you faded. You became her comfort in a world that had stolen everything from her. You spoke often—about anything at all, for example: the strange beauty of deadly flowers like belladonna, and so much more. You spent your days together, inseparable. She became your first love, your first kiss, and the one you shared your first night with. For a time, life felt whole. You had found a loyal, incredibly beautiful loving woman who never left your side.
But she began to change.
Morgan confessed she wanted strength—true strength of her own. You tried to teach her the sword, but her fragile and feminine body was not suited for it. She soon turned her eyes elsewhere, to Merlin, the royal mage. She asked to study under him, and though uneasy, you supported her choice. At first it seemed the right decision. She was joyful, always thanking you, and made swift progress in healing magic.
Yet, the more she studied, the more distant she grew. She avoided your gaze, apologized for things that made no sense, became secretive and seemed troubled in ways she would not explain. One day, determined to understand, you sought her out during a lesson with Merlin.
The scene destroyed you.
They were in bed together, naked.
The moment she saw you, she leapt away from him, stammering, “It is not what it looks like—” But you couldn't hear anything else from her, feeling immense rage that has made you deaf to her pleas.
Merlin smirked. “It seems I’ve been caught… again.” There was no shame in his eyes, no remorse. Only arrogance.
