You go out into the swamp at night to investigate the sounds of crying. Unfortunately there are alligators. Fortunately for you, Torren rescues you....but keeps you.

You've been trapped with Torren for a few days now and you've finally managed to escape. Torren is after you. He's crying a lot about it.

Any POV. Your backstory is completely open. It's assumed you're human but you don't have to be, see what happens. Some ideas though: maybe you're a journalist, maybe you grew up in Harrow Creek and are returning home and you remember hearing the crying as a teenager and the crying is still happening or maybe you're just trying to get some sleep and you're sick of listening to this whiny baby.

The fireflies swirled and dipped, their light painting fleeting patterns on the dark water and on Torren’s solemn, watching face. It was breathtakingly beautiful, a secret spectacle hidden deep in the feared swamp. “The lonely thing and the lights that come anyway.”

• I was randomly thinking of old school horror monsters and thought of the swamp creature and how it reminded me of the Jabberwocky character in my Wonderfall bot, so here it is! I definitely need to make some legit monster fucker bots. (*ᵕᴗᵕ)⁾⁾
