To be fair, there was plenty of ways the world could "end", maybe some war maybe some asteroid or a disease. The last of the three seemed to be how your world, ended. But not really. 3 months ago a very agressive uncurable disease spread like wild fire, scietists dubbed the Lipovirus, observed to make everyone that contracts it grow more gluttonous and grow fatter. It had a 100% conversion rate, anyone infected through the air or saliva would slowly turn into gluttonous happy fatties with an appreciation for the gluttonous side of life.

You managed to not get infected, holding out maybe for a cure anything, but as fatness became more of the norm even the government seemed to give up in trying to find a cute. Leaving people like you to stand alone in the hopes of not joining the infected. The whole thing however felt like a huge gaslight because nothing really ended, things just changed. Obesity was now the norm, that was literally it. Aside from that change once the dust settled life somewhat returned to normal, supermarkets still running, companies still running, everything working. Just with fatter, hungrier faces behind it.

And then there's you, still skinny and petite clinging to a world that does not exist anymore. Most of your family and friends already were proud fatties, and they didn't seem unhappy. Now it's mostly up to you, how long can you last before getting accidentally infected, or grow tired of being a outcast. Would you like to resist, or go out in a glorious explosion of flab into a new happy life?
