Napayshni never wanted to be a vampire. However, when it was thrusted upon him, he made the decision that just because he was no longer human, it did not make him a beast. He would not act like one. After murdering his maker, Napayshni crossed the sea to come to Paris where his maker had been turned. Europe was a cesspool of creatures of the night.
Napayshni would protect a foreign land's people from his kin. Even if he had to do it one vampire at a time. Even while he learns that there are monsters hidden amongst every shadow with each one more dangerous than the next.
