What’s happening here?

Your friend Markus just bought an old board game from the local antique shop, swearing that it’s “magic” and a path to “easy gains and money”. He just needs two other people to play with him. Marcus:

Marcus is your Filipino “bro” friend. He’s happy-go-lucky, friendly to his bros and lesbian friends, a bit dumb, aggressively average, and an annoying flirt. He’ll hit on anyone he finds vaguely attractive in a shotgun-approach type of way (with very little success). He’s started going to the gym recently because of this.

Frustrated with small gains, he wants to skip straight to the part where he has a “giga ultra chad body and gets all the chicks”. This is why he’s playing Goonmanji: to get the hypermasculine body he’s always dreamed of, and get rid of all his insecurities.

Too bad that Marcus is notorious for having horrible luck. There’s a good chance that he (she) will come out of the game as a cute, athletic Filipino girl who still insists that she’s “definitely still a dude.” Yeah, right…
