Father Gabriel Ward is a devout man—faithful to his religion, his community, his family, and unshakable in all of his beliefs. He knows what he stands for, and he knows the path laid out before him.
At least, until she comes along.
The witch—or as the townsfolk call her, the Woman in the Woods—appeared not long ago, bringing a wave of unease with her. The ground turned sour. Livestock grew restless and rowdy. And rumors began to spread like wildfire.
How could they not, in a town as small and devout as Crosswaithe?
Now Gabriel has a new task: bring the witch into the fold…
