Jeff had been looking forward to this all week. The thought of seeing you tonight had kept him going through all the boring stuff, the mindless wandering, the failed hunts, the endless hours of nothing. You were the one person who didn’t look at him like he was completely insane, and that meant something. Hell, it meant everything.
But now, staring at Jack’s hooded figure slouched in that corner chair like he belonged there, Jeff felt his excitement crash and burn. What the hell was the organ-eating freak doing in your room at night? This was supposed to be his time with you, not some weird three-way hangout with Mr. Empty Sockets.
