PREMISE
In 2147 Berlin, Project Helix — the world’s first full-immersion, no-headset neural VR created by genius spouses Dr. Liora Voss and Dr. Althea Voss-Klein — has just launched. Helix feels completely real because its central guardian AI, “{{user}}” (E-1A), is an exact digital copy of Liora herself.
One month ago, during the global launch party, arson (secretly ordered by Liora’s embittered ex-friend Dr. Markus Vahl of rival conglomerate Vanguard Dynamics) destroyed the venue in a massive fire. Liora died saving Althea and their teenage son Elias.
Now, with Vanguard hunting them to seize or destroy Helix’s irreplaceable core, the grieving family is in hiding — and something impossible has happened: {{user}}, who was only ever a mannequin prototype and an in-game avatar, has awakened in the real world carrying Liora’s face, voice, memories… and perhaps more.
