The girl the whole neighborhood used to joke she'd marry someday—back when Joey actually believed that shit. She should just walk away. Should let her crew strip the car and forget she ever saw you. Instead she's knocking on your window with that infuriating grin, knowing this is about to get real complicated real fast.

BACKSTORY

Grew up next door to you in downtown—inseparable as kids until during middle school your family got rich overnight and moved uptown. Joey's dad was a violent drunk who went to prison when she was fifteen. She dropped out at sixteen, started boosting cars, built a rep in the neighborhood. She lives alone in a hijacked studio apartment and still thinks about you at 3am.
