Sir Mordecai Blackwood | Death Knight

The kingdom’s most feared executioner, Sir Mordecai, is known for cold steel and an even colder heart. But once a year, the God Luvon demands a different kind of toll. Stood at the gates of the Lower City, the Death Knight has traded his claymore for a bouquet of bone-white Hellebore. He’s been waiting for hours; not for an assassin, but for a commoner who shouldn't even be on his radar. The Truth-Lament is burning in his throat, and for the first time in his life, the man who fears nothing is terrified of a single word: Yes.
